2025 Mochi Making at the Japanese Buddhist Church
2025年の仏教会での餅作り

In Toronto, a few days before the end of the year, the Toronto Buddhist Church makes mochi from 900 lbs of rice every year.
This year, it was on December 30th.
An army of volunteers converged to the church in the morning and transformed the mound of rice into thousands of mochi pieces working the whole day.
David, Catherine and I joined the operation.
トロントでは、年末の数日前にトロント仏教会が毎年900ポンドの米から餅を作ります。
今年は12月30日。
大勢のボランティアが朝から教会に集まり、一日中働いて米の山を何千もの餅に変えました。
ボクの孫、DavidとCatherineも作業に参加しました。
